NBA: Paolo Banchero star, Celtics knock out Celtics for sixth straight win

Paolo Banchero scored 31 points and made a career-best six 3-pointers to lift the Orlando Magic to Sunday’s 95-92 win over hosts the Boston Celtics.
Banchero added six bounces, three assists, and one steal. He got 7/12 from the pitch and 4/4 from the city center in the first half with 22 points.
The other four Orlando players finished with at least 11 points.
Bol Bol had the highest 11 and 8 rebounds of his teammate, while Admiral Schofield scored 13 and hit three trebles.
The Magic won six games in a row and overcame the two-game series in Boston.

Jaylen Brown has 24 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 saves for Boston, which has lost 4/5 games.
Boston plays without star Jayson Tatum (personal reasons).
The Celtics shot just 27.9% and scored a season-low 41 points in the first half. They finished at 34.8 percent.
Orlando opened the fourth half 12-4, ending with changes to Franz Wagner and Schofield. Brown followed with five of nine consecutive points in Boston to lead 84-80.
A three-pointer combination from Schofield and Markelle Fultz brought the Magic back to 85-84 with 4:54 remaining. After a three-point match by Grant Williams lifted Boston, Banchero and Wagner extended the lead for Orlando.
Malcolm Brogdon’s third corner with 56.2 seconds left gave the Celtics 93-92. After Smart caught a pass in the box, the Celtics reversed the ball again and Moe Wagner took two free throws to seal the victory.
Earlier, after Derrick White scored Brown to give Boston a 31-30 lead in the second half, Banchero hit two more trebles and Orlando took a 10 lead after a 7-0 half – including five consecutive Bol points. – in the last three minutes of the first half.
The Celtics scored three of their first five goals in the third half, and Smart cut the 10-point deficit to two in less than four minutes. After the timeout ran out, Brown hit a treble to extend the lead 10-2 and lift the Celtics to an edge of 57-56.
Cole Anthony and Banchero fueled an explosive 7-2 tie for Orlando interrupted only by a Robert Williams III dribble, but the Celtics scored the final eight points of the half to continue their lead with the score. 71-68. Two brown dunks accentuate the frame.
