It seems like Nicki Minaj had all the lies, as she used the legal route to address people who used social media to spread false statements.
In court documents obtained by TMZNicki filed a lawsuit against a woman named Marley Green who accessed “Nosy Heaux” on her social platforms. In the documents, it said that on Monday, Green posted a video accusing Nicki of engaging in substance abuse. Not only that, but she also made disturbing comments about Nicki’s 1-year-old son, saying: “Your child is going to be a rapist too.”
Nicki and her team mention that the video shared by Green has attracted attention, creating the possibility that people might believe Green’s false claims. Nicki’s attorney, Judd Burstein, said the video has garnered more than 2,000 likes and over 250 retweets, reaching a wide audience.
Nicki is suing for defamation, because Green accused her of using cocaine, which she said she did not. She is also seeking a jury to decide damages of no less than $75,000.
Burstein told TMZ,
“Once this lawsuit is over, she will no longer be allowed to use the name “Nosy Heaux” because we will take away her trademark when she cannot afford to pay the judgment. Anyone else spreading lies about Nicki will suffer the same fate. My marching order is to strongly sue anyone whose media or social networks follow those who have damaged her with willful lies. In the end, lessons will be learned. “
Nicki spoke out about the lawsuit on Twitter and tweeted:
