Nitish Kumar going to merge his JD(U) into Lalu Prasad-led RJD, claims former JD(U) chief RCP Singh | Patna News

PATNA: Former President of JD(U) Ramchandra Prasad Singhcommonly known as RCP Singh on Wednesday announced that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will merge his JD(U) party with the RJD led by Lalu Prasad.
Singh, who was once considered No. 2 in JD(U) after Nitish but left the party on 6 August this year just two days after he was asked by the party to explain his real estate assets (the land), also said that the Nitish-led JD(U) would not win even a single seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha poll, if it were to run alone. “If Nitish Babu runs in the Lok Sabha polls in 2024 after merging his party into the RJD, they (combined party) could win some seats. Some seats may go to them, but JD(U) alone will get a big zero,” said the former Union steel minister.
Singh, a former official, had to resign from the Union cabinet on 6 July this year on his birthday, just a year after joining the Narendra Modi government from his party quota, following when he was denied a berth in the Rajya Sabha for a third consecutive term.
“Today, Nitish Ji is scheduled to lead RJD Tejashwi Prasad as a future leader. This can only be done by Nitish Babu…. He (Nitish) thinks there is no such leader in his JD(U) who can be predicted as future leader, so he is predicting Tejashwi, a leader of his alliance partner. What does it mean? What is Nitish Babu’s motive? He will merge his entire party (into RJD),” Singh said while answering media questions at Muzaffarpur on Wednesday. Singh is on his way to Darbhanga.
“Isn’t there a leader or employee in JD(U) that can be projected or promoted to a future leader? Are there any party leaders who regularly talk about promoting other party leaders?” The RCP asked and said, “The implications of such a move are ‘very clear’.”
When asked what the fate of JD(U)’s current MLAs would be if Nitish merged his team into RJD, Singh said: “Please ask the JD(U) MLAs if they’ll sleep well in the past few months. this day or not. ?”
