My dad used to make me pancakes almost every morning when I was in school. He will make fun shapes and letters. As an adult, I don’t know how he did it, he’s such a great dad! I love making breakfast food but we often run out the door to eat breakfast in the car a lot of times haha. Come weekend though I always prepare good breakfast on Sundays and on days off I like to do themes. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite because you know how much I love pink
I saw this idea online so I ordered some food coloring, berries, sprinkles, and more on Walmart+ to save me a trip to the store. I wish I was a planner and could make a full grocery list and order it once a week, most of the time I have last minute ideas like this or I miss something. That I forgot, so I would love to be able to order groceries right when I need them.
I also have these cute plastic flutes to make a cotton candy mocktail is not the question that kids love the most haha. We have added some White strawberry juice and pink border – loved the idea for a cute, festive drink for kids. COOKING RECIPE:
I’ve used Bisquick Mixed Pancakes and follow the instructions on the back. I made a handful of pancakes first with just the normal pancake mix, then separated the 4 bowls for other colors. I add a few drops of pink food coloring to the dough. Pink from this set So bright and rich, I’m obsessed! You can point the eyeball at how much drops you want to add as it will depend on how large a batch you are making. Just start with a drop or two and mix to get an idea of the color. A little goes a long way – Then, after cooking the next ‘shade’ pancakes, you’ll add a few more drops of food coloring and repeat.
You can repeat as many times as you like and slowly/gradually as you like but the more you do the bigger your stack of pancakes haha. We just made the mini drawers because I knew the kids wouldn’t be able to eat that much if they were full sized. I also used this cute little mold (suitable for pancakes, eggs, etc.) has a round or heart-shaped option. It’s cute for Valentine’s Day or just to use throughout the year for fun. It also makes it a lot easier for the stack to do multiple things at once. These are great!!
We top it with berries, syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles. I also ordered these edible petals that would be great for a Valentine’s Day brunch with your partner or even a bridal shower/baby bath brunch. I forgot to put them on when we did this so I’ll use them when I do them again.
