Blizzard is providing precaution 2 players get a holiday treat in the form of a Gingerbread Bastion skin. It’s exactly what the name suggests: the hero shooter’s robot, made entirely of gingerbread and lollipop. His bird friend is even made out of gingerbread, and the whole outfit is super cute. The candy cane weapon skins and charms are currently available as a bundle of cheap Overwatch-Coins, but what could mean a holiday goodwill gesture comes with a notable annoying downside: now , my Overwatch coin balance is no longer a nice round number.

If you, like many others, are the type of person who needs to turn the volume up or down on the TV for the level number to end with a 5 or a 0, then you probably know what this means. Now no matter how many coins you earn through completing weekly challenges or paying them outright, you will never have a fixed number again, for all the coins you can receive precaution 2 ends with zero. So if you buy the Gingerbread Bastion skin, there will always be an unfortunate 9 at the end of your currency. Unless Blizzard releases something with a cost ending in nine.

I’m joking, but the difference really has a noticeable effect on your use precaution 2 shop. All cosmetics you can buy in the in-game store are round in value, and there’s no way to buy Overwatch Coins for less than 500 coins ($4.99). So, for example, let’s say you want to buy a skin that costs 1000 Overwatch Coins, but you only buy a Bastion skin for one coin, bringing your balance to 999 Coins. You’re just a dime away from being able to buy the outfit you want, but the only way you have to close the gap right away is to pay at least $4.99. The next fastest way is to complete four weekly challenges, which will give you 30 Coins, but of course, will take longer.

Finally, because grinding systems precaution 2 Store is available to get currency, a skin worth a coin has some weird downsides, whether it’s from it putting your coin balance in an odd place in its economy or you have to deal with a round zero in your wallet staring at you every time you open a store. But as a holiday gift, thinking is important, I guess?

Outer thick Bastion leather, precaution 2 is currently held its annual Winter Wonderland Eventincludes a new mode that goes back to the time when Mei could freeze people in place.
