Peru’s troubled president names fifth PM in 16 months


LIMA: Perupresident of Pedro Castillo on Friday appointed the culture minister as the country’s new prime minister after her predecessor resigned over a dispute with Congress.
Betssy Chaveza 33-year-old lawyer who also served as a labor minister, was sworn in as the fifth prime minister since the siege. Castillo took office 16 months ago.
