PlayStation recommends at least 32GB of RAM to play Returnal on PC
Sony suggests that players should have at least 32GB of RAM when playing Returnal on PC, though the minimum is 16GB.
First discovered by WccftechSome specs for Returnal’s PC port have been posted on the game’s website steam page, including a big recommendation of at least 32GB of RAM. That’s significantly more than intensive games like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Elden Ring, and Cyberpunk 2077.
Players will need a minimum of Intel Core i5-6400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor and at least Nvidia GeForce GTZ 1060 or AMD Radeon RX580. The game itself will take up 60GB of storage.
As for other recommended specs, the game suggests players get an Intel i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X for their processor, and an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super or AMD RX 6700 XT.
The PC port is being handled by Climax Studios, which has previously worked with Returnal developer Housemarque on games like Resogun and Dead Nation. Unfortunately, the PC version will not support cross-play with PlayStation 5 players for the game’s endless mode, Tower of Sisyphus.
After many leaks, the PC version of Returnal has been released officially announced at The Game Awards 2022. The game was originally released on April 30, 2021 for PlayStation.
