Police arrest Courtney Clenney in stabbing death of boyfriend
Authorities charged and arrested Courtney Clenney in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend Christian “Toby” Obumseli, the Miami Herald reported.
Officials charged the 26-year-old with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.
According to reports, Clenney was being treated at a rehab facility in Hawaii for post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse at the time of his arrest.
As a result of the arrest, her attorney Frank Prieto confirmed the arrest to the Miami Herald and said in part:
“We look forward to clearing her name in court.
Obumseli’s Resurfaced Tweets
At the time of Obumseli’s death, old tweets about his dating choices resurfaced. He said that black women were not his thing.
His cousin Jessica Nwabuko told The Shade Room in an exclusive interview:
He’s 17 years old. He is a high school kid. I’m pretty sure everyone who’s young just says nonsense and doesn’t think about it. I just think his dating hobby [is] white woman.
The replacement of Clenney & Obumseli
Neighbors called police to the Edgewater apartment after witnesses overheard a domestic argument between the couple on April 3, 2022. According to @TMZ, Clenney told police that she stabbed Obumseli with a knife. Her attorney claimed it was an act of self-defense.
