putin: Putin says Russian anti-aircraft forces ‘cracking’ enemy weapons ‘like nuts’

Russian air defenses have shot down dozens of Ukrainian weapons and are “crumbling them”, President Vladimir Putin said in a short excerpt of an interview that aired on Saturday.
The RIA news agency, which first cited the comments, quoted Putin when responding to a question about weapons supplied by the United States by saying, Russia coped with ease and destroyed dozens of weapons.
But the clip of an interview that will be broadcast on Sunday makes it clear that Putin did in fact answer another question, this one that was not shown.
Mr. Putin said: “Our air defense systems are crushing them. Dozens of them have been destroyed.”
Although the exact type of weapon is unknown, Russia says it destroyed both the plane and the missile Ukraine.
