LONDON: Meticulously planned events during Monday’s state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will follow a precise timetable.
The casket ceremony officially ended at Westminster Hall and doors closed to the public, ready for her coffin to be moved nearby. Westminster Abbey.

Coffin-bearers lifted the coffin off the catafalque, a raised platform where the queen’s flag-draped coffin was located, and carried it to the state gun truck that waited outside the North Door of Westminster Hall.
The state gun carriage departed in a brief procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey, pulled by 142 junior enlisted sailors in the Royal Navy.
The gun carriage arrived at the West Gate of Westminster Abbey, followed by the queen’s eldest son and successor, King Charles III, and other royals.
The coffin-bearers lifted it from the coffin and carried it into the monastery.
The state funeral began, conducted by Dean of Westminster, David Hoyle, with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby giving a sermon.
