As the regular season ended and the early signing period approached, there was a lot of news and rumors circulating around the country. Here’s the latest in this week’s Recruitment Rumors.

Better known as “Stonka,” Burnside made the return trip Miss Ole this weekend as the Rebels are still receiving the 2024 four-star athlete from Starkville, Miss.

The coaches spoke to Burnside and his mother and told him they were always welcome because he was a priority in that class. Coming from Starkville, Mississippi State also high on the list along with LSU, State of Florida, Tennessee and Auburn.

Georgia is one of many programs running at 4-star in 2024 who has been committed to Florida State since February 2021 and during his recent visit he only had a brief chat with the placement coach Dell MacGeewho sends spiritual messages to Davis and other top leads every day.

Florida are also trying to make a serious push with the prominent Albany (Ga.) Dougherty and Davis could try to get to Tennessee soon. Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State are three other schools he’s following.

Dixon couldn’t make it to Mississippi State this past weekend because 2024 four-star supporter from Mobile (Ala.) Mobile Christian is about to receive 30 offers. There are three schools in particular that have made the biggest impression on Dixon to date — and clearly the SEC is focused on his hiring — with Alabama, LSU and Auburn leading the way so far.

Either way, Georgia will become a prime contender for the 2024 four-star defense from Buford, Ga., and seeing what the Bulldogs have done to Tennessee recently will only be more impactful.

Houston has seen the Georgia defense play with the lights off for the whole game and hold the Vols with their lowest 13 points of the season so far. The tall four-star with five-star potential said that’s influenced his recruiting on how well Georgia is playing at the moment.

There are a lot of rumors surrounding that Texas A&M may be about to go bankrupt. Kansas State committed midfielder but also has some healthy skepticism.

Not only was the Aggies’ offense playing lousy, but a person close to the four-star Maize, Kan., QB said that Johnson hadn’t spoken to the Aggies in months.

The four-star assault navigator from Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic is being pursued by Florida and others and on Saturday his brother, Jermainean already elite-sized 2026 defensive back was in Gainesville with Kinsler’s father to witness the Gators win South Carolina.

Kinsler, who committed miami since late July but had previously committed to Florida when the Gators tried to get him back, unable to make the trip.

“Lock on Miami,” Kinsler said.

One of the best scorers in the 2024 category is Miller, who is having an extraordinary youth season with 46 catches from 1,131 yards and 16 touches, and he was at LSU to won over Alabama a few weeks ago.

Georgia may have a slight edge over Miller, but Texas A&M and Texas was also right there with LSU now joining the fray after he said “it’s definitely the best college atmosphere I’ve been to.”

A recent offer from LSU is certainly huge for the 2025 reserve from South Oak Cliff of Dallas (Texas), especially since he has always referred to that school as ‘LBU’.

The offer also came directly from the defense coordinator Matt’s house so that’s also what impressed Riggins because the 2025 outlook had more than a dozen offers.

Penn State must be considered the main contender since Sacca’s father, Tony, played quarterback for the Nittany Lions and he was an in-state prospect at Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s but a recent visit to Georgia made a huge impression.

The Bulldogs have been very good at recruiting Sacca’s area to targeted leads for years, and Sacca found that UGA was “real #1” when Georgia took out Tennessee.

All of Carolina’s shows would play an important role in Sanders’ hiring, but Georgia soon made a big impression on the No. 1 prospect in 2025 with a convincing win over Tennessee. From the energy, to the high heat, to how hard the Bulldogs work and how the coaches value talking to him and his parents while they were in Athens, it all stood out.

“Georgia’s performance was amazing,” Sanders said.

Rumor has it that Wayne could take a trip to LSU or Auburn in the coming weeks as those and others continue to recruit him. Before his pledge, LSU, Alabama, and Miami were some of the leaders, and it looks like some SEC schools haven’t backed down.
