Red Nose Day 2023: Kylie Minogue reunites with former Neighbors co-star Jason Donovan in charity skit special
Kylie Minogue polished her acting and brought Jason Donovan same for the trip.
It’s been 37 years since Minogue, 54, and Donovan, 54, shared the screen for the first time as Charlene and Scott in Neighborbut special Red Nose Day 2023 The skit saw the on-screen and off-screen couple reunite.
It’s for a special charity edition of the popular BBC sitcom the spectre has seen Minogue come to Button House to tour it as a possible concert venue, and when she is left alone with the ghosts, she tells them all to “shut up” – claiming that she can also actually see and hear supernatural beings.

She even tells the ghosts how she got her special powers, saying, “You know the roller-skating footage in spin around videotapes? I fell, hit my head, and now I can see ghosts.”
The ghosts refused to believe that Minogue was in fact the real Australian superstar, so she called Donovan on FaceTime so he could confirm her identity.
”Can you please just say it?” Minogue asked Donovan, who was seen walking along the beach on the other end of the phone.
Donovan just replied, “You’re Kylie Minogue.”

It was only a six-second cameo, but it sent fans into a frenzy online.
”Best sketch ever,” wrote one, while another described it as “perfect”.
“Absolutely brilliant,” another fan tweeted.

Minogue and Donovan’s Charlene and Scott got married in Neighbor in an episode watched by two million Australians, which aired on 1 July 1987.
When it aired in the UK a year later, it was watched by 19.6 million people, becoming the third most watched show in the UK in 1988.
Last year, Minogue and Donovan – who dating in real life for three years until 1989 – reunited on screen as Scott and Charlene in what is supposed to be the final episode of Neighbor.
After the couple broke up, Minogue dated late INXS man in front Michael Hutchence. Earlier this year, it emerged that Minogue and Paul Solomons called it escape after five years of dating.
Donovan, meanwhile, has been married to Angela Malloch since 2008 and they have three children together.
