“North Carolina, NC State, Clemson, Ohio State and Florida State are my top five schools,” says Rogers. “Also, some good schools that made a good impression on me but didn’t make my top five are Penn State, Tennesseeand South Carolina. “
Clemson- “It’s a great team and they’re always developing the boys,” he said. “I like how they use Tee Higgins and I feel that’s what they want to do with me. It’s more than football to them. They do a lot of great things outside of football. I just love what a wonderful family they are. My official visit with them will probably be from June 3 to 5. “
Florida State- “My mom and I really enjoyed Coach Dugans,” Rogers said. “He seems like a really great coach and lad. I love how they’re about to turn things around after two bad seasons. I feel like that’s where I can make my mark. “
North Carolina- “It’s a hometown team that has been really great lately,” he said. “They have a great coaching staff and I would love to play with my brother again. It’s a place with a great overall attack that does things that other schools don’t.”
State NC- “It’s a really hard-working team and program,” Rogers said. “I know everyone who goes there works to get theirs. Nothing is really given. Play with Lex Thomas It would be great because it’s a midfielder that I have a relationship with and I know he can get the ball for me. I will be playing at home and I can definitely see myself playing there. I love what they did offensively. It suits me because their offense reminds me of Rolesville with the way they use it Emeka (Emezie) 1 on 1 and I really like that. That’s just me. I like to play 1-on-1 and the team relies on me to get the ball. I have a great relationship with Coach Beck, Coach Joker, and Coach Doeren. “
Ohio State- “I like the way they carried out the strike,” he said. “They play fast. They move fast. The best players will play. They are really serious about football but they are also very happy, which reminds me of Rolesville. The way they have fun, that’s what we do. I love how Coach Day is really involved in the offense and the team as a whole. I love what Coach Hartline is doing to develop the left and right guys like it’s nothing. My official visit there is June 17th.”
Rogers has pretty much planned out the rest of the recruiting, and most of these teams have been prime contenders for a while. It looks like Ohio State still has momentum after his visit to Columbus earlier this season. NC State has a lot of traction with Rogers because of how close he is to the show and committed quarterback Lex Thomas. North Carolina is working hard to show Rogers that his pairing with incoming freshman Andre Greene Jr will be an unstoppable match and his ability to play with his brother, Cyrus Rogers, as well. is an important factor. Florida State has been in and out of the conversation as one of his top schools but his relationship with Noles receivers coach Ron Dugans cannot be ignored.
Ohio State, is my FutureCast prediction, and Clemson are the only two schools expected to receive an official visit from Rogers right now. He mentioned that NC State and North Carolina visits could happen “whenever because they’re so close” but nothing is scheduled at this time.
