Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani: The first posters of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are out
The first look from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani has finally been released, introducing Ranveer Singh as Rocky and Alia Bhatt as Rani. This is Karan’s first film as a director in seven years. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai, was the last film he directed.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also stars legendary actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in addition to Ranveer and Alia. Ranveer and Alia posters can be seen as their characters at first glance. Ranveer’s striking outfit gives him a pompous look. Karan described Ranveer’s poster as, “An absolute ‘geek’ who wears his own heart on his sleeve – meet Rocky!.”
The second poster features Alia in a glamorous avatar and traditional dress. The caption read: “Ladies and gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your heart – meet Rani!”.
The film was shot extensively in New Delhi by Karan Johar. Around the time of filming, some pictures from their outside footage were leaked online, suggesting that the film will take on a vintage look. Meanwhile, a video of Alia filming the scene at the airport has surfaced online. Earlier this year, the film was completed.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani will be released on July 28.
