Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi is not coming back as previously reported
It has been reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has requested to reshoot some scenes amid the excitement surrounding his highly anticipated web series Heeramandi. Sources even go as far as to predict that the series’ release will likely be delayed due to reshoots. For now, however, sources have denied the rumors.
Reports say the director insisted on re-shooting some scenes because he was not satisfied with them. However, a source involved with the project revealed the following in a statement to ETimes: “There is no truth to these malicious rumors. There is no backstory. SLB is a perfectionist. and went into the details of everything but he was very pleased with everything.”
The reports raised concerns that the series could be delayed due to reshoots, which worried the producers.
Through the stories of prostitutes and their clients set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Indian liberation struggle of the 1940s, the series investigates the cultural realities of the glitzy neighborhood of Heeramandi. Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha and Sanjeeda Sheikh are among the actors. Fans were captivated by the first poster of the series that the filmmaker released earlier this year, and they eagerly look forward to the release date.
