Shaq is having a cuddle with Kevin Durant that’s almost as cruel as the one he took with Brad Miller during the day.
Durant’s Retired Basketball Star Rips Brooklyn Nets Star Durant appeared this week on “The Rich Eisen Show”. O’Neal has criticized Durant for wanting to leave the team he helped build.
“When you put a house together, you should live in it,” says O’Neal of former MVP Durant. “You are the architect. You hired another architect [James Harden]. And now the other architect is in Philadelphia.
“You, as a leader, should make it work,” added O’Neal. “But you don’t want it to work, I guess you’ll buy another house. You know he might be trying to get close to an opponent. It’s easier that way. “
O’Neal makes some great points here. First, Durant personally picked the Nets franchise, picked his head coach (Steve Nash) and hand picked his teammates (Harden, Kyrie Irving, and others)… just to run out. back door once adversity strikes. Even milder is that Durant listed the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat among his favorite commercial destinations… the teams that topped their respective conventions last season.
These comments from O’Neal are similar to What one of his famous colleagues said about Durant even before Durant requested the transaction from Brooklyn. While Durant’s game of god ranks speaks for itself, his tendency to ease out rather than weather the storm right where he is will only continue to attract more criticism.
