Sonic Frontiers bombed on Metacritic after Dunkey video
The Metacritic page for the PlayStation 5 version of sound border is currently bombed with reviews, apparently in response to the latest video from the popular gaming YouTuber Videogamedunkey. As you would expect, sound stans is coming back just as strong, defending the virtues of the green hedgehog’s latest 3D adventure. sound daredevils claim Dunkey viewers were behind the bombing, but in a strange twist, the YouTuber asserts it sound fans behind the bombardment.
That said, there’s no arguing that Dunkey’s new video It’s quite difficult to get in sound border, mocking its purported “open-area gameplay” by showing instances of the game restricting his movement, among other criticisms. The video ends with a series of, seemingly absurd side-by-side comparisons showing the game’s high Metacritic user scores compared to the scores of several other well-loved games.
At the time he recorded, sound border has a Metacritic user score of 8.8 vs Breath of the Wild8.7, Elen’s ring‘s 7,8, and Hades’ 8.8. Right after the video was released, Dunkey shared a screenshot on Twitter displays three zero-scored user reviews from Metacritic users with “Dunkey” in their display name, alleging that “sound fans are bombing their own favorite game to make [his] The fans look bad.
One of the review bombs was screenshotted saying, “At first, I thought I liked this game, but then I watched Dunkey’s video about it and then I realized that this game is really VERY VERY AWESOME. .” Another said that the author, “has no opinion on the game but after seeing Dunkey’s review [they] came to the conclusion that the game is not good” before asking readers to watch more of Dunkey’s videos.

Although all three of those reviews are no longer available on Metacritic, Kotaku found many others still, added sound border The PS5’s series of user reviews got a sudden zero.
Dunkey later added another tweet to his thread: “Ultimately, more positive reviews are being left than negative (and 90% of Sonic fans have left both) and intentions mine is to never send bombers reviews.”

Much sound border User reviews mention Dunkey, including a perfect score from “Dunkeywaswrong” praising it as “the best 3D sound are from Sonic Adventures 2.” Another user wrote “Dunkey fans rate the bombing only increases points ;).” User Shaydows wrote that they “should have given this an 8, but thanks to Dunkey fans I had to change it to a 10.” In a nutshell, this is yet another example of video game fans using Metacritic as a battleground for thought.
