Ours Sonic Frontiers reviews give it a “7”, which I think is perfectly reasonable. However, despite its flaws, do I really love this game? I don’t think I’ll enjoy it much when I join. I’m not a Sonic guy. I respect Sonic and love the Genesis entries, but other than that I don’t have much attachment to or love for the series. But I decided to give Frontiers a chance and I’m not kidding when I say it’s on my shortlist for game of the year. Yes, it has its problems, but I’m happy with it, I’m willing to overlook its shortcomings. And the background music is unbelievable. Seriously, how is this game not nominated for best soundtrack at this year’s Keighley Awards? A crime, really.
