South Korea fires warning shots after North drones cross border
SEOUL: south Korea said it fired warning shots after a North Korean drone violated South Korea’s airspace.
Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff said several North Korean drones crossed the inter-Korean border and were detected over South Korean territory on Monday.
This is the first time North Korean drones have penetrated Southern Korean airspace since 2017.
Monday’s incident came three days after South Korea said North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles in its latest weapons tests.
