Southeast Spotlight: Alabama recruits personnel
The headlines and press are all aiming for five and four stars each season, but there’s always a batch of players the colleges have missed and the talents have breakout seasons. In the state of Alabama, undergrads are using playtime to gain attention with new offers dropping.
National hiring analysts Ryan Wright and Sean Williams take a look at some of this fall’s best candidates from Alabama high school seniors.

THE THREE RISKS OF WILLIAMS
At 6-foot-5, 220-pounds, Ross has shown his long frame and explosiveness as both a midfielder and a winger this season. The 2024 player has good forehand technique in teamfights that helps him get past defenders and once backstage he has a nose for the ball.
Power five shows are quickly attracting Ross’ talent like South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburnand Kansas provided. Ross took a trip to Alabama and visited Knoxville last weekend to watch Tennessee’s game against the Crimson Tide.

Reese is your classic midfield midfielder who possesses great instincts and can cover the cross. So far this season, he has scored 98 tackles, ranking 7th in the state of Alabama. He also led his Ramsay team to a 6-2 start to the season.
Jackson State was the first to offer a return in the spring, but programs like UCF, State of Arkansasand Austin Peay recommended during the fall.

Blocton is currently rated #14 prospect in Alabama for 2024, but he’s definitely put himself in a position for a promotion when the next leaderboard release rolls around. At 6-foot-4, 265 pounds, the Blocton has the size to play the ball and the flexibility and quickness on the side. This season, he has wreaked havoc as an edge runner for Pike Road and has helped lead them to a 5-2 record so far.
The three stars received new offers this fall from Florida, Houston, Missouriand Kansas with offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansasand South Carolina.

Take on the defenses of 7A Alabama with Tuscaloosa County, watch out for the year 2024 will chase Kevin Riley. Through six games this season, Riley has dashed 1,040 yards with 131 attempts with nine touchdowns. Deep in the heart of the Crimson Tide country, Riley received her first offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks on October 15 with an offer from Tennessee-Martin the same day.

Ziggy Holloway is the name that will be on the board of colleges across the Southeast in the coming months. Holloway has that rare outburst and the first move allows him to go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye. The recruiting process is only ramping up for 2024 athletes. A season visit was made to South Carolina and Auburn hosted him for a game this fall. Marshall was the first to suggest Holloway put him on their board on October 14.

Dunlap joins his grassroots campaign as a triple star working on his skills to keep college offers going his way. Joining Team 7A, Dunlap has been one of the defensive leaders for Enterprise credited with 28 tackles and a bag this season in terms of published stats across six games. Ole Miss Be the first to provide security with scholarship opportunities currently in double digits with Penn State, UCF, Auburn and Arkansas participate in the combination. Auburn and Alabama hosted Dunlap for games this season.
