Stephen Curry is out for several weeks with a shoulder injury

Golden State Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry will be out for several weeks through injury. left shoulder injury maintained during Wednesday night’s game, ESPN reported on Thursday.
Curry got injured in the 3rd half of the tournament Warriors’ loss to Indiana Pacers while stealing. He left and did not return.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Curry will have an MRI on Thursday. The report did not show the results of the MRI.
This will be the first time this season that Curry has missed multiple games.
Curry finished the game with a top 38 in Wednesday night’s loss despite playing only 30 minutes. He had seven rebounds and seven assists in the 125-119 loss. The Warriors were leading 93-80 at the time of his injury.
Curry, 34, is in the midst of another MVP season.
He is averaging 30.0 points per game – a pace that would mark his third season ever averaging 30 points per game if he finishes there. He averaged 30.1 in 2015-16, winning his first MVP title in two consecutive MVP titles and 32.0 in 2020-21.
He is shooting 50.0% from the ground, well above the career average of 47.4% and 43.4% from the 3-point range, also well above his career average that (42.8%).
Despite all that, the Warriors were only 14-15 in Friday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
