Stores Open, Closed for Thanksgiving 2022: Grocery Stores, Retailers, Walmart, Target, etc.

Realizing (or forced to realize by the workforce) that family is more important than profits, some retailers have reversed previous policies. And some, like Targetwent so far as to announce that they would never reopen traditional locations on Thanksgiving.

Of course there are exceptions. And people who work in grocery stores are less fortunate, as one of the obvious things about preparing Thanksgiving dinner is that you inevitably realize you forgot to buy a key ingredient.

Whether you’re looking to kick-start your Black Friday deals or are in need of a replacement turkey, here are the stores that will—and won’t—open on Thanksgiving 2022. Please note opening hours Actions can change, so it’s definitely such a good idea to call first. And remember that blue laws in Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island forbid retailers from opening.
