Tesla New post its second-quarter vehicle production and deliveries for 2022. Here are the key numbers:

Delivery numbers, the closest approximation to sales reported by Tesla, fell short of analyst expectations.
Analysts had expected deliveries of 256,520 vehicles this quarter, marked by Covid restrictions, supply chain failures, shortages, according to a consensus compiled by FactSet-owned Street Accounts. semiconductor chips and other parts.
Last year, Tesla delivered 201,250 vehicles in Q2, reaching more than 200,000 units for the first time in 3 months. During the first quarter of 2022, Tesla delivered 310,048 vehicles.
Today’s delivery numbers represent a sales growth of 26.5% year over year and a consecutive 17.9% decline for Elon Musk’s electric vehicle project.
The company has oriented for an average annual growth of about 50%, in the long term, depending on production capacity and other factors.
During Tesla’s first-quarter shareholder meeting, the company said, “We plan to increase our production capacity as quickly as possible. Over a multi-year period, we expect to see the increase in growth. average annual growth of 50% in vehicle deliveries”.
In China this quarter, Tesla had to close or only partially allow operations at its Shanghai factory for weeks due to covid-related public health orders.
