(Reuters) – Thailand’s central bank on Friday said it was closely monitoring the baht and was ready to manage any outrageous moves.
The baht, one of the worst performing currencies in the region, hit its weakest since December 2006 earlier on Friday.
The central bank said in a message to reporters that currencies are volatile due to external factors and businesses have been urged to hedge.
