LAKE CORMORANT, ma’am. – Kamarion Franklin has established itself as a top prospect in the class of 2024. Franklin has put together a campaign to dominate year two on film and have impressed on the camp scene since the end of the 2021 season.
Standing at 6-6 and breaking through at 255 pounds, Franklin has a large frame that allows him to play on the defensive front as well. He plays on the side at a prep level but shows versatility that could help him play on the inside at the next level as he continues to develop.
Mississippi Highlights compared to previous five-star potential customers Jeffery Simmons, who also starred in Magnolia State on Friday night. It’s no surprise, then, that some of the top programs in the nation have been involved in Franklin’s hiring.
Alabama, State of Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texasand Texas A&M is one of the giants in pursuit. Both Ole Miss and Texas A&M hosted Franklin before the August downtime.
“I’m just looking at the process,” Franklin said. “I don’t really have any top schools.” “(All visits) were good. I’m not used to seeing all of this, so it’s all new to me. It was a good experience.”
