In 2021, White Lotus brought us an ironic situation. It gives us disgust. It takes us Jennifer Coolidge sobbing in an ash box and Alexandra Daddario make every journalist question their work. And while we have to say goodbye to the swaying palm trees and terrifying yellow-tinted skies of Hawaiian resorts, HBO has confirmed that the holiday requires just a slight detour: The social satire will return for a second season, this time in a new language and with a new VIP cast.
Every Limit linepart 2 of White Lotus would leave behind the drama about the Maui murder mystery in exchange for a stay in Europe. But rest assured, the story follows another set of privileged global managers as they subscribe to a White Lotus property. Here’s what we know little about what happens next.
When will part 2 be released?
White Lotus will be back in October, Diversity reported, although the exact release date has yet to be revealed.
What would White Lotus season 2 is back?
The first season follows three groups of guests as they try to enjoy a relaxing stay in Maui, in just the span of time. everything goes bad and ends with a sudden death. Since host Mike White will also be joining the second season, we can expect it to follow a similar trajectory—perhaps unrelated to the murder, but who knows? —And force their premium visitors to consider their ethical fallacies. Whether they actually learn from them this time remains to be seen.

Where will it take place?
Originally white told TVLine the program will relocate away from Hawaii, saying “it will have to be another hotel, such as, White Lotus: San Tropez or something. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he suggests possible locations in France or Japan. Finally, in January 2022, Diversity first reported that season 2 would be filmed in Sicily, specifically at the Palace of Four Seasons San Domenica in Taormina.
Who will be in the cast?
It may be a few months before we get a full confirmed list for the next season’s cast, but we do know two main names that will be making their first appearances on the show: Michael Imperioli (Sopranos) and Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation). Every Diversity, Imperioli is the first new cast member confirmed for season 2, and he’ll play Dominic Di Grasso, a tourist on vacation with his elderly father and young son, a recent college graduate. Plaza will take on the role of Harper Spiller, another vacationer, but one who arrives with her husband and his group of friends.
F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Meghann Fahy, Tom Hollander, Theo James, Haley Lu Richardson, Will Sharpe and Leo Woodall also feature in the cast, each Diversity.
Thankfully, there are plenty of Hollywood A-listers beloved for their performances of the rich and powerful. (Basically, the entire cast of Big Little Lies seems appropriate.) One of our requests? Who are the new Italian cast?
Since the new season takes place in Italy, a number of actual Italian actors have been cast as characters who live in Italian resorts during the week of the season. Actress Sabrina Impacciatore has been cast as a character named Valentina, Limit line reports, the manager of the White Lotus resort in Sicily. Beatrice Grannó and Simona Tabasco are playing two young local women named Mia and Lucia who spend time around the hotel.
Is there a trailer yet?
Not quite, but a sizzling HBO Max clip shared on July 18 shared a glimpse of the new season. (Jump to 0:17 below.) The quick montage shows Coolidge’s Tanya riding a Vespa, Sabrina Impacciatore’s Valentina welcoming guests to White Lotus, and the Plaza’s Harper sharing toast with other patrons (probably before their vacations all went downhill).
