The Witcher 3 Next-Gen includes a wild easter egg related to Cyberpunk 2077’s biggest mystery
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next-gen update includes an eerie Easter Egg related to Cyberpunk 2077’s biggest mystery.
YouTuber xLetalis, who discovered every other Easter Egg and hidden secret in The Witcher 3, posted a new video outlines how to uncover the mystery and how it relates to the Cyberpunk 2077 secret that still has players scrambling more than two years after the game’s launch.
The mystery – known as FF:06:B5 – revolves around a complex set of numbers that appear in Cyberpunk’s Night City. This particular number started things off when it was found on a statue worshiped by monks, and then connected with several other numbers hidden throughout the city.

CD Projekt Red now appears to have extended the quest to the Continent, as a new installment in The Witcher 3 shows Geralt teleporting to mysterious ruins containing more strange codes.
By visiting the southeast side of Velen, which formerly housed the Ursine Witcher Armor and not much else, the player can visit three small ruins and find a switch on the wall of each. Dragging all three opens a portal atop a nearby mountain, teleporting Geralt to the top of another tower.
After falling lower and lower, the player finds himself in a room full of undead ghosts. Going deeper into the ruins spawns even more things, but the last room also contains two crystals that, when activated by the Aard sign, will open a large portal in the floor.
It is in this room that you can find the symbol (above) on the wall, and the letters around it, when translated, represent another set of seemingly random letters: FF, VQ, BZ , KW, GB, FP, OVE and YAR . While this may just be a random inclusion, the symbol itself matches the one seen on the Cyberpunk 2077 statue.
CD Projekt Red’s Paweł Sasko, who served as Cyberpunk 2077’s mission director, has also confirmed that there is indeed a solution to the mystery and that players simply haven’t figured it out yet. Whether The Witcher 3 Easter Egg makes things more or less confusing, however, remains to be seen.
The next generation update came out on December 14, bringing a ton of new features to the 2015 game including an upgraded combat systemBrand new quests and other Witcher content-based armor sets.
However, the launch was not without problems, because many PC users have reported serious problems which CD Projekt Red is currently reviewing.
