As part of the Southeast Conference’s 50th Anniversary of Title IX, the conference will feature alumni-athletes who have had successful careers outside of athletics.
A member of the Alabama Women’s Basketball Team from 1996-2000, Jaqui Jones participated in 63 matches and was captain in 1999-2000. She led the team to three NCAA appearances and is an active volunteer in community service initiatives through the Life Skills Program.
Pursuing a college career, Jones earned a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed residency programs at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital. of Cook County and Loyola University Medical Center.
Board certified in family medicine, Jones has experience managing family health care development, maximizing care efficiency and minimizing risk. She remains focused on improving medical care development and developing care initiatives.
Throughout her career, she has received recognition for enhancing cross-departmental collaboration and, most recently, as an agent of change in the field of community pandemic education.
