Travis Barker & Kourtney Kardashian speak out after being hospitalized for ‘life-threatening’ pancreatitis
Travis Barker and Kourtney kardashian finally broke their silence about the musician’s recent hospitalization.
As we reported, the 46-year-old drummer caught the attention of fans earlier this week when he was suddenly… West Hills Hospital and then shipped to Cedars-Sinai . Medical Center in Los Angeles. Although the reason for his hospitalization was not known at first, “family-connected” sources later revealed to TMZ that he was suffering from a severe episode of pancreatitis believed to have been caused by a recent endoscopic procedure.

Now, Travis has confirmed the reports in a post on Instagram Stories on Saturday. The Blink 182 artist wrote:
“I had a colonoscopy on Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I had severe pain and have been hospitalized ever since. During the colonoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged the critical pancreatic duct. This leads to severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. “
What a scary situation! Thankfully, he shared that he is slowly recovering after undergoing some serious treatment at the hospital:
“I am very grateful for the active treatment, I am much better now.”

Kourtney, who wasn’t surprised to be with Travis during this entire ordeal, also shared a statement of health scares on her IG Stories, saying:
“Oh, what a scary and emotional week. Our health is everything and sometimes we consider how quickly it can change. Travis and I went together for a routine endoscopy and he ended up with severe, life-threatening acute pancreatitis. “
The Keeping up with the Kardashians alum continues:
“I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all your prayers for him and for us, for his overwhelming love and support. I am very touched and appreciated. I am very grateful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai for the excellent care of my husband and I during our stay. “
She then expressed in a follow-up post:
“It’s crazy how sometimes words can never really express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.”

This is without a doubt a challenging time for newlyweds, but we’re glad things seem to be getting better for Travis. We are continuing to wish him a speedy recovery and we hope he returns home soon!
