If Twitter isn’t loading well for you, you’re not alone. Tens of thousands of users are complaining that they cannot access the social network owned by Elon Musk, instead they see a lot of strange error messages. They say some are being greeted with a blank page while others are logging out of the service. Many users said they were unable to view their replies or respond to tweets or follow trending topics.
Twitter also shows “speed out of bounds” for some users, indicating that their servers are unable to handle incoming requests. The hashtag ##TwitterDown is trending on the platform.
The outage appears to be affecting international users in the UK, Canada, Germany, Italy and India, starting around 4pm Pacific Time. Third-party web monitoring services including NetBlocks and DownDetector have confirmed receiving reports from users. DownDetector says the majority of complaints indicate that Twitter is largely experiencing desktop issues.
Many also cannot access TweetDeck, a powerful user-focused service from Twitter. NetBlocks also added that the “widespread” problem was not related to “interruption or internet filtering at the national level”. Twitter has power outage has not been confirmed yet.
