Two men accused of murdering models Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, who were sold outside an LA hospital last year
There is an update on the tragic murders of models Christy Giles and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola.
As we reported, the body of the model and the architectural designer was left at various hospitals in El Lay on November 23 last year by three masked men wearing black Toyota Prius No number plate. Christy is presumed dead after being discovered at Southern California Hospital in Culver City that day. A coroner determined that the 24-year-old had passed away with a mixture of cocaine, fentanyl, ketamine, and gamma-hydroxybutyrate acid (GHB or commonly known as the date rape drug).

Meanwhile, Hilda is found unconscious and critical at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Hospital. While in a slight coma, she sadly passed away on November 24. She tested positive for cocaine, MDMA and other unidentified drugs.
In the end, the coroner said Christy died of “multiple drug intoxication” while Hilda died of multiple organ failure and “multiple drug intoxication”. Both deaths are believed to be homicides. Police allege the two women were drugged and overdosed at a Los Angeles mansion shortly after meeting a group of men at another party.
Now, it looks like charges have been brought to the two people involved in the case.
According to court records obtained by Los Angeles Times on Saturday, prosecutors formally charged David Pearce and Brandt Osborn for their murders. Those who have followed this case may recall that Los Angeles Police Department previously arrested these two men in December 2021. Pearce was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, while Osborn and another man were arrested. Michael Ansbach was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory in the murders.
However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office did not charge the three men with any crime at the time – leading to the release of Osborn and Ansbach. Pearce ended up staying behind bars due to unrelated charges alleging he sexually assaulted or raped four women between 2010 and 2020.
Ansbach has yet to be charged at this time, The Los Angeles Times reported. Meanwhile, Pearce’s attorney, Jacob Glucksmansaid he plans to plead not guilty when charged on July 11. The attorney also declined to release a statement to the agency, noting only that his client “resolutely and firmly denies any involvement.” regarding the unfortunate deaths of these women.”
Hopefully these two women will finally get some justice. Reacting to the case update, Ageists? Let us know in the comments below).
