MANILA, Philippines—National University guard Kean Baclaan and two players in the women’s division have been given a one-match suspension by UAAP.

Baclaan is suspended after being called up for two technical fouls—both for “fake fouls”—in Bulldogs 63-58 loss to La Salle Green Archers on Wednesday.

He will miss NU’s final game in Saturday’s knockout against Adamson. The Bulldogs (9-4) are still vying for the top two spots to reach the UAAP Season 85 Men’s Basketball Quarterfinals.

La Salle’s Niantcho Tchuido and Ateneo’s Sarah Makanjuola were also forced to sit out their respective teams’ games in Saturday’s women’s basketball tournament.

Tchuido won’t be with La Salle when it faces Eastern University after she made a blatant unsportsmanlike foul by biting NU’s Kristine Cayabyab in matchtime injury time. Lady Archers amazing 61-57 win over Lady Bulldogs ended a 108-game winning streak on Wednesday.

Makanjuola, meanwhile, will be no match for the Blue Eagles when they face the University of the Philippines after she hit UE’s Kamba Kone with a fist in the first inning of the match, knocking her out.
