Ukraine conflict: Russia arrests hundreds of people during anti-war protests

The Moscow prosecutor’s office warned on Wednesday that calls on the internet to join unauthorized street protests or to participate in these protests could carry a prison sentence of up to 15 years. They could be prosecuted under the law against discrediting the armed forces, spreading “fake news” about Russian military activity in Ukraine, or encouraging minors to protest.
