US Supports Chinese People’s “Right To Peaceful Protest”: White House
A White House spokesman said the US supports the right to peaceful protest in China.
Washington:
The White House on Monday said it supports the right of the Chinese people to peacefully protest against the COVID-19 lockdown and that it does not see the supply chain impact of the protests.
White House national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters: “Everyone should be allowed… the right to assemble and peacefully protest against policies, laws or orders… They think there’s a problem.” “The White House supports the right to peaceful protest.”
Kirby also said the US has not received any requests from China for a COVID-19 vaccine.
