While speaking to ETimes, the veteran actor reminisced about how Amitabh Bachchan helped him in his early days in Bollywood. “I went through a lot of difficulties when I entered this industry. I am going through a major financial crisis and am looking for shelter in Mumbai. When Amitabh Bachchan learned of this, he personally wrote a letter to Manohar Joshi, the Minister of maharashtra during 1995-99. And I got a house from the government just through his recommendation. I still have the letter I framed with me. I’m so proud because he knows me and I know him. We are friends from the past 55 years. I just like his attitude and his nature,” Vikram Gokhale told ETimes in 2021.
